Tuition & Financial Aid

Tuition Information

We remain faithful to maintaining a strong program while keeping the St. Mary Academy experience as affordable as possible.

TUITION 2019-2020

Pre-K, 3 days$3300
Pre-K, 5 days$4800
Full Day Kindergarten$6000
Grades 1-8 Supported$5500
Grades 1-8 Non-supported$7000

The supported rate is available to Catholic families who meet the criteria set by the Diocese of Manchester.  These criteria are: active participants in parish life, participating in envelope system, regular attendance at Mass.  Pastors determine eligibility for support.

Tuition may be paid in one payment in August or may be paid in 10 or 12 installments.

Additional Fees

Graduation (8th grade families) and Athletic Programs (4th-8th grade participating athletes) will require fees.   Field trip fees will be charged on an individual class basis.

Buyout – In order to increase the educational opportunities for SMA students, we will be continuing the fundraising buyout requirement. The buyout is an obligation for families to raise $350.00 over the course of the school year. (Please note that if you have a child solely in the Pre-K program, your fundraising obligation will only be $175.00.) By doing so, families help bridge the gap between the actual cost of educating a student and the tuition rate. As in previous years, families may bypass the buyout obligation by including the amount with tuition.

Financial Aid Information

St. Mary Academy recognizes the challenge for parents in providing a quality education for their children.  We understand the difficulty and sacrifice necessary to meet the financial weight of tuition.  It is our goal to keep tuition as low as possible while operating the school in a fiscally responsible fashion.  St. Mary Academy allocates a portion of its annual budget to provide St. Mary Academy Grant Aid for qualifying families.

All families are eligible to apply for aid.   A demonstrated financial need is the first criteria.  Financial need is determined by FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment and reported to the school following an application to FACTS.  The Financial Aid/Tuition Assistance Committee will make an evaluation and award aid by matching the ability to pay tuition with resources available.  All financial information is handled in strict confidence.

All students who apply for financial aid/tuition assistance must be accepted and registered for the following school year.  Aid cannot be guaranteed from year to year; families must reapply annually.
